The Van Taylor Society
The Van Taylor Society is Woodhaven’s first Monthly Giving Society, designed to celebrate the generous men and women who help sustain our organization and make our mission possible through their monthly gifts.
Members of the Van Taylor Society make a monthly commitment which makes a difference every day at Woodhaven. When you join the Van Taylor Society, you become part of a family. A family that passionately advocates for inclusion, makes room for new opportunities and always seeks to promote and empower a person’s strengths.
Who was Van Taylor?
He was one of the first students enrolled at Woodhaven in 1964. He was 11 years old. He was a spirited, outgoing young man and eager to learn and make friends. He brought energy, kindness and sometimes a little mischief everywhere he went. He was served by Woodhaven until 2019.
For 55 years, he was a sustaining force of warmth and joy for everyone he met. We are privileged to have known him and honored to celebrate his legacy with the establishment of the Van Taylor Society.
